Part of the Brody Wilkinson Emerging Artist Series  With a shared fondness for the sophisticated soul and pop of Smiths, New Order, and Marvin Gaye, Stars joined together nearly 20 years ago to stretch electro-pop to arena rock. Their newest album 'There Is No Love In Fluorescent Light' was recorded at Bridgeport's Tarquin Studios with producer Peter Katis, who won a GRAMMY in 2018. Peter Katis is opening this show with his band, The Philistines Jr.   “STARS formed out of the late 90s Montreal music scene, overlapping members with multiple bands including BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE. Since then they have been cranking out records that range from raucous to dancy, forlorn to celebratory. They’re also known for their dynamic “live” performances featuring dueling male and female lead vocalists.
